what we are talking about in february!
"We're meant to be." It's how all of our favorite movies, songs, and books talk about love—as if the secret to an amazing relationship is a little bit of destiny, a whole bunch of feelings, and a tiny dash of magic. So it makes sense, when we observe the not-so-perfect, real-life relationships modeled by our friends, parents, and favorite celebrities, that we might start to wonder, “Wait—is that how relationships are meant to be?” In this 4-week series, we are giving students a better lens for evaluating their current and future dating relationships as we help them see that the secret to a relationship that's "meant to be" is to stay close to Jesus, date with purpose, know who you're looking for, and keep sex in the right context.

Luke Cordle - Youth Pastor
Youth Ministry is extremely exciting, dynamic, complex, and challenging. The reward of seeing young people transformed by the Gospel is what makes every late night, every tough conversation, and every one of our best efforts worth giving. It has been said “Adolescence is just a phase, don’t miss it” and that is what we are going to do: we are going to lean in, love big, and work to navigate one of the most challenging seasons of life with our students. The relationships that begin at community youth can last a lifetime and the impact of one leader who faithfully loves and gracefully challenges a young person to greater things by living out the Gospel can change the trajectory of a life and someone’s eternity. Youth ministry matters and you can have a part to play in the story that God is weaving in the lives of our students. I would love to hear from you cordleluke@gmail.com

We Engage With Students
We aren’t just running a weekly youth service, we are on the front lines of the collision of students and the Gospel. As leaders we take the first step in engaging students -- Youth group can be intimidating, but walking in to meet a leader that is genuinely excited to see them each week helps break the intimidation factor down.
We Continually Connect
Being consistently present in a young person’s life is one way to build trust and confidence and it’s our way of ensuring a safe place for students to be heard and cared for.
